Friday, September 7, 2018 at 5:30 PM – 8:30 PM: When the Escambia Bay Homebrewers Club held the first Emerald Coast Beer Festival more than two decades ago, the craft beer scene was a glimmer of what it has developed into over the years.
Locally and worldwide, the landscape of beer has developed tremendously since that initial meeting because of the efforts from groups like the EBHC, which is hosting the Emerald Coast Beer Festival for the 23rd year. The event takes over Seville Quarter and spills out onto East Government Street from 5:30-8:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 7.
Festival-goers will receive a complimentary tasting glass, and food will be available for purchase. Those lucky enough to score VIP entry, will have access to a separate air-conditioned room with complimentary dinner buffet, plus beverages exclusive to the VIP room.
Proceeds from the event benefit the Alfred-Washburn Center, a ministry of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul that serves the homeless and poor, and the Seville Rotary Club, which works to combat hunger, improve health and sanitation, provide education and job training, promote peace, and eradicate polio under the motto Service Above Self.
